The 1990 World Cup was the last time West Germany would play in a World Cup, as the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 allowed a unified Germany to return for the 1994 World Cup in. Led by manager Franz Beckenbauer, the West German outfit were champions of the world in 1990, after winning the final 1-0 in a notoriously tense match against Argentina. This competition marked West Germany’s third World Cup win. Jürgen Klinsmann, Lothar Matthäus, and Andreas Brehme were some of the key men in the champions’ side, with ten goals shared between the three players over seven games.

This jersey has been remade with excellent attention to detail. It features the same collar, sleeving, ridges and embroidery as the original. Nameset is printed in original felt flocking material.

To protect the intricate features of your retro jersey you should hand wash it or use your washing machine's delicates programme. If your jersey has name/number printing we strongly advise against machine washing, as the flocking may start to peel after repeated washes.
